Smart Cutlery might be the Next big thing

You might have wondered that smart and intelligent devices have invaded in almost every field of life, now what is left? this was my question too. But don't worry i won't take much time, There is a new device that is taking cutlery to new level.

With the introduction of HAPIfork, by HAPIlabs.
" The HAPIfork is an electronic fork that helps you monitor and track your eating habits. It also alerts you with the help of indicator lights when you are eating too fast."
The information is stored in the HAPIfork's inbuild memory, which can be accessed via usb/ bluetooth.  It has  ST STM32L1 Cortex M3 microcontroller, Lithium Polymere + 3.7 V battery, and a capacitive  sensor. vibrator and led lights for indication. It is the capacitive sensor that senses the food on the forks.
It is available for purchase at $79.00
So, this was HAPIfork, but we are not going to end here, there is another player who is waiting to be introduced, simply named Intelligent Spoon, though commercially it is not available, it will be  further improved. Invented in 2005 by MIT researchers Connie Cheng and Leonardo Bonanni.

 This spoon is no way a ordinary spoon, The spoon is equipped with sensors that measure temperature, acidity, salinity, and viscosity, and is connected to a computer via a cable.
Not only it has the capability of storing the information but it could analyze it, and might suggest user if certain component is maximum, like sugar or salt. and Tell you the ways to neutralize it. By this it could help you to prepare dishes, through preloaded ingredient list.

Expert cooks might not need any assistance, but it would certainly help clumsy cooks like me. Also this can help diabetes patients, who need to cut back on sugar, and eaters with high blood pressure, who need to watch their salt intake.
